Free Christmas dinner at Cici’s Pizza

For the fifth year, Cici’s Pizza in Farmington will offer a free Christmas Day dinner. According to Jennifer Street, Marketing Director, the dinner will be from 4-6 p.m. Dec. 25.

&#8220This is for anyone who has no place to go for Christmas dinner,” she explained. &#8220In the past, we’ve had older couples, singles and families who have joined us.”

The menu will include ham, turkey and all the trimmings. Volunteers are needed not only to serve the meal on Christmas Day, but to provide some of the food, including desserts. To sign up, call 760-0077.

Street and her family have helped to serve the dinners that have fed as many as 300 people in the past.

&#8220It’s just a joy to bring happiness and the Christmas spirit to others,” she said.

The idea was the brainchild of Cici’s owners Chip and Debbie Peterson whose families take part in the event every year. No reservations are necessary. Street said there will be no delivery, however, those who wish to bring a plate to fill and take to someone else are welcome to do so.
