Desloge Board grants extension for completion of Highley Lane project

DESLOGE – The Desloge Board of Aldermen granted Jokerst an extension to complete the Highley Lane project during its monthly meeting on Monday. The board gave an extension until April 30 to get the project done.

&#8220They have up until April 30, but they probably won’t take that long,” said Desloge Mayor David Kater. &#8220We gave them until April 30 in the event there is inclement weather and they can’t work.”

The board also gave approval for the MOPERM Property Insurance premium.

&#8220This is the municipal insurance that the city carries,” Kater said.

The board also confirmed the election of Larry Gremminger as fire chief.

&#8220Larry has done a great job for the city,” Kater said. &#8220He has been on the department for ages.”

The board also granted a liquor license to &#8220Hoosier Daddy” contingent upon the business getting a state ID tax number. Kater said the business will be moving in the RB’s location.
