Sheila Horn

FARMINGTON – Sheila Horn of Farmington passed away on December 11, 2005 at her residence at the age of 50 years. She was born July 5, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Juanita (Ellerman) Files and the late Floyd Files. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Alan Strain.

Mrs. Horn was a big supporter of the Relay for Life, she helped with the American Cancer Society, was an avid bird breeder, and doll collector. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and through out the years was a foster mother to several children.

She is survived by her mother, Juanita Files, Annapolis, MO, her husband of 32 years, Franklin Horn, with whom she renewed their wedding vows at a 25 year celebration. Two daughters, Hope (Dennis) Champion, Farmington, Shelly (Mark) Porter, Park Hills, four grandsons, Cameron, Justin, Clint, Aaron, one granddaughter, Britney, three brothers, Frank Strain, Shanute, Kansas, William Files, Festus, Claude Files, Annapolis, one sister, Brenda Hawkins, Salem, and a special mother in law, Thelma Horn, Farmington. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2005. Visitation will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Cerutti ad Kochis officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Ridge. Memorials may be directed to the family.
