FARMINGTON – Mrs. Berniece Mayes, 92, passed away March 3, 2006, at Parkland Health Center, South, Farmington. Berniece was born on February 17, 1914, in Farmington, Missouri to Harry and Edith Alice ‘Zolman’ Noltkamper. Also preceded by her Husband, L.C. Mayes (Oct. 19, 1972); one Daughter, Toni Simms and one Son, Harold Patrick Mayes, in infancy and two Brothers, Clyde Earl Noltkamper (Feb. 17, 1990) and one in-infancy.
Berniece was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Farmington; member of United Methodist Women; former member of Farmington Business and Professional Women’s Club; delivered Meals on Wheels and served as Pink Lady at Parkland Health Center-South, Farmington.
Survivors Include: Daughter, Sandy ‘Mrs. Dan’ Wade, of Farmington; Foster Son: Herb (and Janet) Beck, of Farmington; Son-In-Law and Daughter-In-Law, Barney and Patsy Simms, of Park Hills; Sister, Grace (and Floyd) Hulsey, Jr., of Sullivan; Sister-In-Law, Suzi Noltkamper, of Farmington; seven Grandchildren: Tammy (and Steve) Gollaher; Scott (and Lisa) Wade; Todd (and Jennifer) Wade; T.J. Simms; Denny (and Kristy) Simms; Erin Beck and Shanna (and Gus) Raeker. Also seven Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation, today, 5-8 p.m., at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington. Visitation resumes Monday, 7 a.m., and funeral, 11 a.m., March 6, 2006, at Taylor Funeral Chapel, Rev. Larry Gray, officiating. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Farmington.
