Firebirds to play two at North County High School

The Firebirds will move from their normal confines of Wilson Rozier Park in Farmington to the North County High School baseball field for Friday night’s home games. Originally scheduled to play the Sikeston Bulls in a single game, the Firebirds have made Friday night a doubleheader due to a double rain-out of an earlier game.

The game is feted to be ‘Desloge Night’ with the Desloge Chamber of Commerce sponsoring the Firebirds that night. Tickets may be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce or from any Chamber member prior to the game for $2 or at the gate for the regular price of $5.

The crowd will be treated to souvenir Firebirds ‘Squooshy Balls’ thrown out by the Chamber during the game as well as the regular Firebirds giveaways and two games for the price of one. The first game will start at 5 p.m. with the second following a half hour after the first is done.
