Chamber sponsors city-wide yard sale

The Park Hills – Leadington Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Second Annual City-Wide Yard Sale Aug. 12 in the two cities.

Individuals, families, neighborhoods, organizations, and school groups are among those invited to participate in the event. Anyone who wishes to hold a yard sale that day may buy a permit and be put on a publicized list of sales for $5. For $6, the Chamber will provide a permit, include the site on the list and put the location on a map of the day’s yard sales. For a $7 fee, the Chamber will provide all three services and will include a list of five major items at the yard sale.

Last year’s sale included 81 registered yard sales. This year, the Chamber is hoping to have at least 100 available sites. Proceeds go toward the annual Foster Children’s Christmas Party and other Chamber projects.

Permits must be purchased from the Chamber by Aug. 7. The sale will not count against the Park Hills annual yard sale limit for households.

The Chamber will handle all advertising for yards sales that are part of the event. Maps of the yard sale locations will be sold for $1 beginning Aug. 8.
