Parkland gets ready to relay

The Relay For Life of St. Francois County gets under way with registration at 5 p.m. Friday on the campus of Mineral Area College and continues until closing ceremonies at about 7 a.m. Saturday.

A special tent is set up for cancer survivors to stay cool and snack. They’ll also receive a gift for being part of the 10th annual Relay in the Parkland. There will be special parking for those who may need assistance and golf carts will be available to transport people to the site near the on-campus College Park housing. Volunteers may go to the registration area to offer their help with set-up throughout the day Friday.
