Accident sends two to hospital

A three-vehicle accident Wednesday on Route W in St. Francois County sent two people to the hospital.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Eldred Arnold, 89, Farmington, fell asleep at the wheel and crossed the center line. Arnold’s vehicle struck vehicles driven by James Cochran, 76, Bismarck, and Nelda Crocker, 65, Bismarck.

Helen Campbell, 75, Bismarck, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center by St. Francois County Ambulance. Cochran suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center by St. Francois County Ambulance.
