Health Department to have flu shot clinic in November

PARK HILLS – The St. Francois County Health Center has tentatively scheduled a flu shot clinic for Nov. 17 at the First Baptist Church in Desloge. While the health department still has not received its doses of the vaccine, Health Director Diane Williams is confident the doses will be here in time for the clinic.

&#8220We typically don’t get them until after the first part of November,” Williams said. &#8220We have gone ahead and scheduled a clinic from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 17. We can bill Medicare for the shots or we are asking for a $25 donation for each shot.”

Several area pharmacies are also holding flu shot clinics. Residents need to check with their pharmacy for further details.
