Weldon L. &#8220Poncho” Rawlins

DESLOGE – Weldon L. &#8220Poncho” Rawlins of Desloge, was born April 23, 1929 in Desloge, MO. He passed away Sunday, October 15, 2006, at his residence being 77 years of age.

Weldon was the son of the late Lee and Mary ‘Bryant’ Rawlins.

Weldon is survived by: His Wife, Ruby Marie ‘Dixon’ Rawlins of Desloge, MO; One Son, Curtis Rawlins of New Orleans, LA; One Daughter, Deborah, Mrs. Terry Moore of Desloge, MO; Seven Grandsons, Jeff Moore of Desloge, MO, Todd Moore and wife Shanna of Bonne Terre, MO; John Moore and wife Brooke of Bonne Terre, MO; John Moore and wife Brooke of Bonne Terre, MO; Kevin Moore and wife Cori of Bonne Terre, MO; Jeff Rawlins, Sam Rawlins, and Travis Rawlins of AZ; Seven Great Grandchildren: Brandon, Bailey, Caitlyn, Ashlyn, Isaac, Jack, Makaila Moore also survive; One Brother, Frank Rawlins and wife Thelma of Park Hills, MO. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Two Sons Rodney and Kevin, Three brothers, Delmar, Eli and James Rawlins, Three sisters, Tessie Fenwick, Mary Ellen Rawlins and Jessie Hill all preceded him in death.

Weldon was a member of the American Legion Post in Kansas City, Mo and A World War 2 Navy Veteran.

Visitation will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2006 for Family. Friends are asked to visit from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Caldwell Memorial Chapel in Park Hills, MO. Services will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at the Caldwell Memorial Chapel in Park Hills wiht the Rev. Delmar Fenwick officiating. Interment will be at the Mitchell Cemetery in Mitchell, MO.
