Alberta Bond

FARMINGTON – Alberta Jessie Bond of Farmington passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2007, at the age of 77 years. She was born on February 8,1929, at Bonne Terre, the daughter of the late Irvin and Golda (McFarland) Skaggs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bond, and two sisters, Vernadean Skaggs and Mary Jane Denoyer.

Alberta was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington. She retired from Concordia Publishing Co. in St. Louis. She was a wonderful, caring mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

She is survived by a son, Bill Bond of Holts Summitt, Mo., grandson, Robert Bond, and granddaughter, Janel Bond, both of Jefferson City, sister-in-law, Rita Benedek, close friends, Chip and Linda Gerstner, all of Farmington, and her special dog, Coco. Numerous nieces, cousins and other relatives also survive.

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2007. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Cozean Chapel.
