Police investigating rash of auto vandalism

The Farmington Police Department is looking into a rash of about 15 reports of vandalism which occurred during the night Sunday.

Chief of Police Rick Baker said officers took the reports throughout the day Monday. Most of the incidents happened in the Holiday Park, Hillsboro Road areas.

&#8220We just want to remind people to lock their cars and trucks,” Baker said. Most of the incidents involved damage to windshields, windows, and theft of small items such as CD’s, jewelry, electronic gadgets, etc.

Anyone with information concerning the rash of burglaries and vandalism is being asked to call the police department at 756-6686.

Baker did say detectives with the department are following up on a lead of possible suspects in the cases.
