George Lando

EDWARDSVILLE – George H. Lando, 83, of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of French Village passed away January 22, 2007 at Edwardsville Care and Rehab. He was born October 30, 1923 in Syracuse, New York to the late John and Beatrice (Yehle) Lando.

Survived by: Wife, Ethel (Finke) Lando; Sons, Daniel G. (Debbie) Lando of French Village, David C. (Rosemary) Lando of Alton, IL; Daughters, Carol (Robert) Young of French Village, Gail (Tom) Ahrens of Edwardsville, IL; 12 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

George was a retired Amoco Truck Driver and worked for L&M Railroad. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville, IL. He was a Veteran of the US Army WWII.

Visitation from 9-11 a.m., with services at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Galen. Interment in Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL.
