Ralph Heine

FARMINGTON – Mr. Ralph Raymond Heine, Sr., 88, passed away March 17, 2007, at Farmington Presbyterian Manor. Ralph was born May 2, 1918, in Praire du Rocher, Illinois, and was the son of Albert and Matilda ‘Misplay’ Heine. Also preceding-in-death were: One Sister: Carrie Syberg and four Brothers: Alfred; John; Lloyd and Frank Heine.

Ralph was: a US Army Veteran of World War II and a Prisoner of War; a member of Leadington VFW Post #5741; a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Bonne Terre and a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree.

Survivors include: his wife, Elizabeth W. ‘Wray’ Heine, of Farmington. Two Daughters: Kathleen Heine, of Farmington and Nancy Vandemark, of O’Fallon, Missouri. Two Sons: Ralph R. (and Catherine) Heine, Jr., of Ashville, North Carolina; Bob (and Jane) Heine, of St. Louis. Also surviving are five Grandchildren: Mike (and Carrie) Heine; Justin (and Diana) Vandemark; Nicholas Heine; Ezra Vandemark and Kendra Vandemark. Also, three Great-Grandchildren: Samantha Heine; Hannah Vandemark and Andrew Heine.

Visitation starts today, 5:00 p.m. and VFW service at 7:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington. Funeral mass Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bonne Terre, with Fr. John Schneider officiating. Interment with military honors following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Bonne Terre. Memorials to: *The Catholic Indian Mission, PO Box 639, Ft. Yates, ND 58538.
