Route 72 construction

There is current grading and paving from Route OO at Fredericktown to Route 51 at Patton.

During construction, motorists may expect a 10-minute delay at one-lane, flagger-controlled work zones. Completion of this phase is expected next summer.

Grading and paving work for the new bridge at Castor River in Madison County also continues. Bypasses east and west of the river are now open to traffic. Completion of this project is expected this summer.

Until then, drivers should expect reduced speeds through the bypasses.
