Fire destroys Potosi home

POTOSI — A fire destroyed a home near Potosi this morning.

According to fire officials, the fire was reported just after 4 a.m. today. Firefighters arrived within 12 minutes.

Fire Investigator Bob Jacobsen said the house at 14998 Highway 8 four miles from Potosi was a total loss. He believes the fire started in the ceiling above the back bedroom.

The home was owned by Belinda Sue and Arvin Zettler. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Potosi Fire Department upped the call from a first alarm to a second alarm to get additional help and water. No injuries were reported.
