William (Bill) Portis

FREDERICKTOWN — William C. (Bill) Portis, 62, of Fredericktown passed away July 14, 2007 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. He was born August 31, 1944 in Evergreen Park, Ill.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and member of the Valley Worship Center.

Preceded in death by Parents, William and Vera Portis; Brother, Robert Wilson.

Survived by Wife, Darla J. (Christopher) Portis of Fredericktown; Sons, Ronald Huckfeldt of St. Louis, William J. Portis of Desloge; Daughters, Dawn C. Albers of Imperial, Bridget A. Martin of Ironton; Four Grandchildren; Sister, Lorraine Gregory of Sandoval, Ill.

Visitation Monday, July 16, 2007 at 5 p.m. at C Z Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 1 p.m. at C Z Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Wayne Kean assisted by Rev. Bob Thurmand. Interment at St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Valley Worship Center.
