Billy B. Bryant

Billy B. Bryant, 74, of Potosi died August 19, 2007 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis.

He was born November 18, 1932 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, a son of Paul and Anna Maude (Dickenson) Bryant.

On February 5, 1990 in Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Margaret Butler who survives at the home.

Mr. Bryant is also survived by two sons, Douglas Tate Bryant of Cascade and Greg Bryant of Farmington; four daughters, Mrs. Enola Gay Leach of Clubb, Missouri, Diane Arnold  of Ohio, Mrs. Lisa Skaggs of Cascade, Missouri and Linda Phillips of Illinois; one brother, Ronald           “Hunky” Bryant of South County, and two sisters, Linda Ward of Arnold and Bobbie French of Fredericktown; two step-sons Nick Ortiz and Todd Howard both of Topeka, Kansas’ two step-daughters, Pam Havens of Burlingame, Kansas and Mrs. Danielle Garst of Meredan, Kansas.

Mr. Bryant had ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Spencer Bryant; and one sister, Barbara “Tootie” Swiney.

Mr. Bryant served 14 years in the United States Air Force and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands when the Korean War started. He worked at the loading docks for Consolidated Freightways Company in St. Louis.

He enjoyed bowling and digging ginseng.

Services were held August 22, 2007 at Wilson Funeral Home and later at Jefferson Barracks National Veterans Cemetery in St. Louis.
