Jo Ann Hassell
DESLOGE — Jo Ann Hassell, 74, of Park Hills passed away August 30, 2007, at her residence. She was born April 8, 1933, at Desloge.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Park Hills; and enjoyed ceramics with her friends.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Otis and Jeanette (Reeves) Riley; husband, Jesse Hassell (February 3, 1981); sister, Rita Landa; and brothers, Ronnie Joe Riley and Bernard Riley in infancy.
She is survived by: Sons, Gary Hassell and wife Becky of Bonne Terre, James Hassell and wife Jeanniece of Farmington, Jonathan Wayne Hassell of Desloge and Jerome David (J.D.) Hassell of Park Hills; daughters, Barbara (Mrs. Calvin) Eifert of Pratt, Kan., and Tina (Mrs. Tim) Meadows of Park Hills; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandsons; brothers, James Riley of Desloge and Jerry Riley and wife Terry of Bonne Terre; sister, Carol (Mrs. Eugene) Gillam of Park Hills; and special friend, Julia Hassell.
Visitation will be 5 p.m., Saturday, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Edward Bennett officiating. Interment at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to AmHeart Hospice.
