Bismarck urges residents to purchase fire tags

This year will be a very bad brush fire season for Southeast Missouri, according to Bismarck Fire Department officials.

Firefighters are reminding residents that fire strikes without warning and they should prepare now for when disasters strike.

The department has already had to fight brush fires due to the drought and the conditions may still be very dangerous despite recent rain.

Fire officials said everyone should ensure they are protected with a fire tag. They can be purchased at one of the following: PLS; Beer, Bait and Bull; Shy Feed; Iron Mountain Lake City Hall; The Wedge or visit http://www.bismarckfire.org .
