Poster pet contest will be held as part of fall festival
FARMINGTON — First State Community Bank (FSCB) will sponsor the third annual Pet Fest on Sept. 22, at the St. Francois County Courthouse square lawn in downtown Farmington.
Pet Fest 2007 will be part of Farmington’s annual Fall Festival hosted by the Downtown Development Association (DDA). This Pet Social of the Year will include many of last year’s popular events, plus several new ones. One continuing event is a contest to name the Pet Fest 2007 Poster Pet.
As the Poster Pet, the winner will be featured in Pet Fest 2008 advertisements. In addition, this lucky pet will receive a costume of his or her choice from Doggie Duds. In order to be considered as a candidate for the Pet Fest 2007 Poster Pet, pet owners should submit a photo and short write-up explaining why the animal would be the best choice for the position. All entries are welcome and may be submitted at any Farmington FSCB location. Entries may also be mailed to 201 E. Columbia St., Farmington, MO 63640 to the attention of Lynne Wisdom. Entries must be received by Sept. 17.
