Accident sends four to hospital

A two-vehicle accident Monday on Route EE in Ste. Genevieve County sent four people to the hospital.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an emergency vehicle driven by Jarrod Gordon, 24, Ste. Genevieve, was responding to a call with emergency lights and sirens activated when it lost control on a curve. The vehicle traveled partially off the east side of the road. Gordon overcorrected, which caused the vehicle to travel across the southbound lane where it struck the left side of a vehicle driven by John Streckfuss, 37, Park Hills.

Streckfuss’ vehicle traveled off the west side of the road and overturned.

Gordon suffered minor injuries and was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance. Streckfuss suffered minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center by St. Francois County Ambulance. Angela Streckfuss, 36, Park Hills, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center by St. Francois County Ambulance. Felicia Streckfuss, 8, Park Hills, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center by St. Francois County Ambulance.
