Pioneer Days

Pioneer Days at Marquand Historical Park will continue today.

Registration for the car show begins at 8 a.m. At 9 a.m. there will be a Women’s Firewood Chop at the school and a tractor show at the park.

The Men’s Team Railsplit will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the city hall parking lot.

Other activities include:

10:15 a.m. – Log Roll at the city hall parking lot.

11 a.m. – Women’s Crosscut Saw at the city hall parking lot

11 a.m. –  Kiddy Tractor Pull on Whitener Street

11 a.m. –  Sand Volleyball Tournament in Park

11 a.m. –  Bob Lawson’s “Mind Games” at Homan Hall with audience participation.

11:15 a.m. –  Men’s Crosscut Saw -City Hall Parking Lot

11:45 a.m. – Water Boil -City Hall Parking Lot

Noon – Horseshoe Tournament in Park

12:30 p.m. – Amateur Railsplit -City Hall Parking Lot

1 p.m. – Brian Kinder, Matinee at Homan Hall

2 p.m. – Parade (Pickney St.)

3 p.m. –  Car Show Trophy Presentation Marquand-Zion High School Field

3 p.m. –  Eli Valencia “Devonite” at Homan Hall

3:30 p.m. –  Professional Railsplit -City Hall Parking Lot

6 p.m. –   Bob Lawson’s Mind Games at Homan Hall with audience participation.
