R-7 Notepad

The following is a listing of events taking place in the Farmington R-7 School District.

• Friday, October 12th the Farmington Schools will dismiss at 12:00 for homecoming.  The homecoming parade will begin at 1:00.

• Tuesday, October 16th will be the monthly board of education meeting at 6:00 PM at the school board building.

• Tuesday, October 16th through Thursday, October 25th Truman Kindergarten Center will have their Scholastic Book Fair.

• Wednesday, October 16th through Thursday, October 25th Jefferson Elementary will have their Scholastic Book Fair. Family night at the book fair is October 24th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

• Wednesday, October 17th is picture re-take day at Truman Kindergarten.

• Thursday, October 18th Truman Kindergarten Center will hold their annual Safety Day starting at 12:00.

• Thursday, October 18th Truman Kindergarten Center will have Papa Johns night at Papa Johns Pizza.  Families that eat at Papa Johns that night need to tell their cashier and Truman will receive a portion of the money from the pizza sales.

• Monday, October 22nd through Thursday, October 25th Washington-Franklin Elementary will hold their book fair.

• Tuesday, October 23rd and Wednesday, October 24th Lincoln Intermediate Center will be doing vision and hearing screenings on all sixth grade students.

• The test date for the ASVAB is now Tuesday, October 23rd and Wednesday, October 24th high school juniors will be taking the ASVAB test from 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM.   Juniors A-K will test on October 23rd and Juniors L-Z will test on October 24th at the Civic Center.

• Parent/teacher conferences for the Farmington R-7 School District, grades Pre-K through 12 will be as follows:

– October 24 – Full day of school, conferences from 3:30 – 7:00 p.m.

– October 25 – Early dismissal at 12:00, conferences from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m.

– October 26 – No School

• Monday, October 29th Truman Kindergarten Center will hold a PTG meeting at 6:30 p.m.

• Monday, October 29th Jefferson Elementary will hold a PTG meeting at 6:00 p.m.

• Tuesday, October 30th The Mineral Area Arts Council will present “Beauty is a Beast” to the Jefferson student body. The 1st and 2nd Grade presentation will be at 8:30 AM in the gymnasium, and the 3rd and 4th Grade presentation will be at 9:50 AM in the gymnasium.

• Wednesday, October 31st The Mineral Area Arts Council will present “Beauty is a Beast” to Truman Kindergarten students.
