Norma Ruth (Carlton) Holmes

Norma Ruth Holmes, 82, of Farmington died November 17, 2007.

She was born June 18, 1925 in Fredericktown.

She spent her early years with her grandparents, Robert and Margaret Carlton and her uncle Henry Carlton and aunt Nina Carlton.

She graduated from Esther High School with the class of 1943 and worked for several years as a bookkeeper.

She was married to Wilbur Holmes for 51 years. He survives at the home.

Mrs. Holmes is also survived by one son, Steven Holmes of Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by one son, Leland Holmes.

Mrs. Holmes was an Air Force wife for more than 15 years. She was a loving wife, mother and friend to all.

A family gathering is planned for a later date. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks.
