Early morning accident sends man to hospital
A one-vehicle accident this morning on Highway 47 in Washington County sent a Park Hills man to the hospital with moderate injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Bryce Waller, 36, Park Hills, lost control and went through a right curve. The vehicle skidded off the road and overturned several times.
Waller suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Washington County Hospital by Washington County Ambulance.
In an unrelated accident on Sunday, a one-vehicle accident on Coffman Road in St. Francois County resulted in minor injuries for a Park Hills woman.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Jimmy Roberts, 33, Park Hills, swerved off the south side of the roadway to avoid an unidentified vehicle traveling westbound.
Elizabeth Ligue, 31, Park Hills, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center by St. Francois County Ambulance.
In an unrelated accident on Saturday, a two-vehicle accident, involving a fire truck, on Highway 67 in St. Francois County sent four people to the hospital.
The fire truck was responding to a first-alarm residential fire on Third Street in Lake Timberline.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a fire truck driven by William Corley, 78, French Village, was running emergency lights and sirens and attempted to cross the northbound lanes of Highway 67 from Route Y. A vehicle driven by Dennis Baker, 44, De Soto, attempted to avoid the fire truck. Baker’s vehicle struck the left front of the fire truck in the median crossover. After impact, the driver’s door of the fire truck opened causing Corley and a passenger to get thrown from the truck.
Baker suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Jefferson Memorial Hospital by St. Francois County Ambulance. Corley suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Jefferson Memorial Hospital by St. Francois County Ambulance. Robert Reeves, 64, French Village, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Jefferson Memorial Hospital by private conveyance. Jerry Travis, 49, French Village, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Jefferson Memorial Hospital by private conveyance.
In another unrelated accident on Saturday, a one-vehicle accident on Route F in St. Francois County sent two people to the hospital.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Franklin Tackett, 21, Farmington, lost control and traveled off the south side of the road and struck a tree.
Tackett suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center by St. Francois County Ambulance. Eric Winick, 21, Fredericktown, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center by St. Francois County Ambulance.
