Medford C. ‘June Bug’ Jones Jr.

DESLOGE — Medford C. “June Bug” Jones Jr., 68, of Bonne Terre passed away December 29, 2007, at his residence. He was born September 15, 1939, at Desloge. He was a member of Desloge Church of God; and served in the US Army and later in the US Navy.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Medford C. Jones Sr. and Mildren Gracie (Turner) Jones; wife, Carilyn Ann (Yates) Jones; son, Marty Jones; brothers, Benjamin and James Jones; and sisters, Rosetta Pickering and Wanda Hastings.

He is survived by: Children, George and wife Melissa Jones of Bonne Terre, William Edward Jones of Bonne Terre and Michael Allen Jones of Potosi; adopted son, Scott Carico of Fulton, Mo.; grandchildren, Melissa (Mrs. Dustin) Keller of Park Hills, Misty (Mrs. Matthew) Edwards of Bonne Terre, Marilyn (Nikki) Jones of Bonne Terre, Michelle S. Jones of Villa Ridge, Mo., and Makalia A. Jones of Slater, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Morgan, Dustin Jr. and Denver; brothers, Melvin Jones and wife Mary of Booneville and William Jones and wife Kathy of Arnold; and sisters, Verla (Mrs. Clifford) Burdette of Maryland and Sheila (Mrs. Steve) Jamerson of Pevely.

Visitation will be 5 p.m., Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services will be 1 p.m., January 2, 2008, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Jim Muse officiating. Interment at Herod Cemetery in Desloge. Memorials may be directed to Desloge Church of God.
