R-7 Notepad
The following is a listing of events taking place in the Farmington R-7 School District.
• Monday, January 14 Truman Kindergarten will have an assembly called “Wild about Animals.” The assembly will feature live animals such as a fox, porcupine, baby kangaroo, woodchuck, tortoise, hissing cockroach and snakes. The assembly will include information about where the animals live, what they eat and how to preserve them.
• Tuesday, January 15 the monthly Farmington Board of Education meeting will be held at 6:00 PM at the board building.
• Thursday, January 17 Missouri Representative Steven Tilley will present a Proclamation to the student body of Jefferson Elementary at 2:00 PM concerning the recent state Gold Star Award and the National Blue Ribbon Award received by Jefferson Elementary for their outstanding academic performance in meeting the No Child Left Behind standards.
• Monday, January 21, school will not be in session in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
• Wednesday, January 23 will be the FHS Sweetheart Talent Show will be held at Truman Auditorium at 7:00 PM.
• Saturday, January 26 will be the FHS Sweetheart Dance. The coronation will be held at 8:30 PM in the high school gym.
• Monday, January 28 through Friday, February 1 is school board recognition week.
• Friday, February 8, the Farmington R-7 Schools will dismiss at 12:00 for teacher professional development.
