Mr. Herman B. Schaefer
FARMINGTON — Mr. Herman B. Schaefer, 84, passed away January 17, 2008, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center. Herman was born on January 25, 1923, in St. Francois County, and was the son of William Adam Schaefer and Dora ‘Revoir’ Schaefer. Also preceding in death were: one Sister-In-Law, Marie and one Grandson, Greg Schaefer.
Herman was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington and a US Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the 3rd Infantry. Herman was a former active member of the 3rd Infantry Society.
Survivors Include: his wife, Louise Marie ‘Callahan’ Schaefer, of Farmington. One Daughter, Joyce ‘Mrs. Bobby’ Green, of Littleton, New Hampshire; one Son, Bill Schaefer, of St. Louis. One Sister, Neoma Skinner, of Farmington. Seven Grandchildren; Adam Schaefer; Alan Johnson; Jennifer Nicole Powers; Alex Green; Kristin Sinnott; Christopher Schaefer and Matthew Schaefer. Also, two Great-Grandchildren: Haley Johnson and Alyeah Schaefer.
Visitation Sunday, 4-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington. Visitation resumes Monday, 7-9:30 a.m. Funeral Monday, 10 a.m., January 21, 2008, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Farmington, with Pastor David Oddi and Pastor James King.
