Fire destroys Iron Mountain Lake home

An Iron Mountain Lake woman lost her home early Tuesday morning.

Missouri State Fire Marshal Zach Jacobsen said the fire at 672 Jackson Drive started on the back porch of the double-wide mobile home.

Jacobsen said Mary Jackson was in bed when she heard a pop and then saw a glow from the fire. She was able to get out without injury, but she couldn’t get her dog out.

The fire was reported at 12:15 a.m. and firefighters were on the scene 11 minutes later.

He said the home was a total loss. The cause of the fire has not been determined. The Bismarck Fire Department could not be reached for further information.
