Small business marketing class

Small business owners often question how, when and where they should spend their marketing dollars because to them every dollar counts. A course offered through the Mineral Area TCRC at Mineral Area College can help them determine where those dollars should go.

“Foundations of Marketing” is a comprehensive course helping business owners, managers and marketing directors focus their marketing efforts through understanding how to gather information on customers, analyze the competition, maintain customer relationships and promote their business for success.

The first class starts on Feb. 5 and will be held at the TCRC, which is located in the Technology Center at Mineral Area College.  All classes will start at 9 a.m. and end by noon each Tuesday. Classes conclude March 4.

Fees are based on the number of classes to be attended. Pre-registration is required by calling 573-243-3581.    For more information, contact the University of Missouri Cape Girardeau County Extension SBDC at 573-243-3581 or e-mail profferrd@missouri.edu

The course will provide participants with workable strategies to make their business’ marketing efforts more effective.  In a series of discussions, class instruction, online opportunities and personal counseling, attendees will learn how to apply proven marketing concepts to their own small business.
