Trojans score Homecoming victory over Cats

The Blackcats traveled to Potosi High School, as the Trojans celebrated their basketball Homecoming Friday night

The Trojans won 62-54.

The game was nip and tuck early, as Potosi led just 12-11 after one quarter.

The Trojans jumped out to a 19-13 lead to start the second quarter. FHS fought back with seven straight points, five by Eli Skaggs, but Potosi pulled away again. It was 33-24 at the half.

The margin was two points (45-43) after three quarters. The Trojans opened the the final period with a two 3-pointers and another basket to push the lead to ten again. Mike Crowell made two free throws for the Blackcats for their only points in the first four minutes of the last quarter. A string of free throws (7-8) in the final minutes stifled the Cats comeback attempt.
