Body found in Washington County
POTOSI — The body of a 36-year-old Washington County man was found Tuesday afternoon in a wooded area behind a residence in Potosi. According to officials, the body of Roger Allen Whipple Jr., 36, Cadet, was found.
Washington County Coroner Brian DeClue said an autopsy was scheduled for this morning.
“He was under the influence of prescription drugs,” DeClue said. “So at this point we don’t know if he overdosed or became disoriented and died as a result of hypothermia.”
DeClue said the Washington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death. He said a friend found Whipple in the wooded area after he had been missing all day. Whipple had previously been at the residence, according to reports.
