2008 Basketball Season

The 2008 Basketball Season is over for FHS schools, but there are still many MAAA and southeast Missouri teams playing in the state playoffs.

Tonight (February 27), there are two Class 4 games at Mineral Area College. The Dexter (22-4) and Farmington (20-6) girls square off, as do the (Cape) Notre Dame (20-6) and DeSoto (16-12) boys. The winners of those games will play Saturday, March 1, at the Farmington Civic Center against the winners of the District 3 vs. District 4 Boys and Girls Champions (see results, below). The winners of those games will be in the final four in Columbia, March 7-8.

The District 13, 14, 15, and 16 champions fill out the rest of the top of the Class 4 Show Me Show Down Bracket. The bottom half of the bracket includes the champions in Districts 5-12.

The Class 5 bracket is the same. District 1-4 and 13-16 Champions are on the top half of the bracket, while Districts 5-12 are on the bottom half. The Poplar Bluff Girls (22-5) play Nerinx Hall (23-4), tonight at the Farmington Civic Center. There game is followed by a contest between the Jackson (20-7) and Webster Groves (25-3) boys.
