FHS music department returns to Busch Stadium
The St. Louis Baseball Cardinals have announced that the Farmington High School Black Knight Marching Band and A Cappella Choir have been selected to provide ceremonial music for the pre-game festivities of an upcoming game.
The announcement came to Kurt Bauche, Director of Bands, in mid-February. “We are very pleased to have been asked back after our inaugural performance in 2007,” said Bauche.
The game is on June 2 at 7:10 p.m. and will be against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The A Cappella Choir will perform “God Bless America” and the Black Knight Marching Band will perform the National Anthem.
The Farmington High School Air Force Junior ROTC will present the colors and the Farmington Elks Lodge #1765 will carry their “huge” parade flag into center field.
This event is being considered as “Farmington Day” at the game by Bauche and others. There will be 800 tickets available to the general public. The cost for the pavillion field box seats will be $27.
Tickets may be purchased through the Band Office. Checks should be made payable to Farmington Band Boosters.
