Grace Mae Thurman
DESLOGE — Grace Mae Thurman, 89, of Collinsville, Ill., formerly of Park Hills passed away April 2, 2008, at Maryville Manor in Maryville, Ill. She was born September 12, 1918, at Searcy, Ark.
She loved crafting and was the co-owner of a local crafting business.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Harry Oscar Eads Sr. and Ollie Mae (Webb) Eads; husband, Paul William Thurman; sisters, Lucille Pearson and Irene Herbst; brother, Harry Oscar Eads Jr.; son-in-law, David Kassabuam; and niece, Carol Seitz.
She is survived by: Daughter, Mary Lou Kassabaum of St. Charles; grandsons, David Kassabaum and wife Debbie and Todd Kassabuam and wife Lisa; four great-grandchildren; niece, Mary (Mrs. Terry) Mabery; nephews, Glen Herbst and wife Judy; Harry Eads and Mark Eads. Great-nieces and nephews, other friends and relatives also survive.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2008, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Roger Hogan officiating. Interment at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
