Farmington council meets
Replacing the firehouse roof will be on the agenda tonight at a meeting of the Farmington City Council. A contract directing the mayor to enter into and execute a contract with Huffman Roofing for the job is among ordinances to be presented for a first and second reading.
Also on the agenda are a special use permit for Terry and Sandra Mell allowing construction of duplexes in an R-3 single family residential district and an ordinance approving and accepting the record plat of Frances Field Subdivision on Walton Drive.
An ordinance authorizing a contract with Slinkard Painting Company is being presented for a second reading.
A number of reports will be given and the council will certify election results.
Two public hearings for two of the ordinances precede the meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m. at Long Memorial Hall, 110 West Columbia.
The meeting is open to the public.
After the open session, the council may adjourn to closed session to discuss matters pertaining to litigation, real estate negotiation or personnel matters as allowed by state statute.
