St. Francois County Lincoln Days dinner set

The presidential race is heating up, and so are the local and statewide races in Missouri. Republicans throughout St. Francois County are invited to the annual Lincoln Days Dinner, scheduled for Saturday, May 3, at the Centene Center in Farmington.

A reception with local party dignitaries will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a barbecue dinner at 6 p.m. “The Republican Party is thriving in St. Francois County,” said Gary Matheny, a Farmington attorney and St. Francois Township committeeman for the St. Francois Republican Central Committee. “Lincoln Days is always a great dinner, and we also can count on our special guests to give us plenty of food for thought.”

Louie Seiberlich, a candidate for state representative, will be master of ceremonies. The speakers for the evening will include state Senator Kevin Engler and state Representative Dr. Steven Tilley. Matheny is excited about the strong slate of candidates up and down the Republican ticket this fall.

Tickets for the dinner are $25 for adults and $15 for students. To purchase, please contact Joe Stone in Bonne Terre at 358-3633; Curt Boyer in Park Hills at 431-6145; Gary Matheny in Farmington at 760-1313; or Kevin Engler in Farmington at 756-6711.
