Time for ‘Wiggle & Giggle’
It’s that time again. This Saturday young anglers will take to Hagar Lake in the Farmington Industrial Park to vie for an angling record.
Farmington Parks and Recreation, in cooperation with the Farmington Kiwanis, Taylor Funeral Service, Country Mart, Ryan’s, Pepsi-Cola, Missouri Department of Conservation, Little Caesar’s Pasta House Company, McDonald’s of Farmington, Steak ‘n Shake, CiCi’s Pizza, C-Barn Live Bait, Harris Heating and Cooling, and Blake Graphic Arts, is pleased to host the Wiggle and Giggle Fishing Derby for Kids free of charge.
All kids 14 and under, accompanied by an adult with a valid Missouri fishing license, are invited to participate.
The event sponsors have provided some great prizes, which will be awarded at the conclusion of the Derby to the participant in each division who catches the most fish, the largest fish (by weight), the longest fish, and the most unusual catch of the day. All kids who enter will receive some great fishing items. Also, one boy and one girl will leave the Derby as proud owners of brand new bikes, compliments of Taylor Funeral Services.
Derby registration begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. with the first cast at 8 a.m. All the fun and games come to a close at 11 a.m., and immediately following Agent Grant Gelly and Biologist Mike Reid of the Missouri Department of Conservation will judge the derby.
