Park Hills moves Web site
Park Hills City officials have moved the city’s Web site to a new domain, hoping that will make it easier to find.
“The city Web site has attracted an average of 40 typed searches per week for quite a while,” City Administrator John Kennedy said. “The search feature … seems to be very popular, so we decided that if you want to search on the site, you should not have to first search for the site.”
The new Web address is http://www.parkhillsmo.net. The previous address was http://parkhillsmo.brick.net.
The city began looking for a new address several weeks ago, after statistical site visit reports showed a strong interest from residents searching the site.
“The new Web address will make the city’s site easier to remember and easier to find,” Kennedy said. “We hope that even more visitors and residents will make use of the site at the new address.”
In addition to city meeting records, polling place information and the Park Hills Municipal Code, the Web site includes statewide gas prices, road condition reports, community history, a geocache map for hiking enthusiasts and upcoming event information. The site also includes genealogy links for people tracing family history, free practice tests for students with library cards, fire call statistics, weather advisories and safety information.
