Golf tournament Saturday

The New Beginnings Relay For Life team will sponsor a golf tournament Saturday at the Terre Du Lac Golf Course. Registration begins at noon with play set to start at 1 p.m. The cost for a 4-person team is $200.

Prizes for a hole-in-one include $10,000 for a hole-in-one from First State Community Bank, a set of Hogan BH-5 Offset Irons, a Bose Wave Music System, a Dell Computer and a golf cart from Carr’s Golfcart, Inc. and Crown Motors.

While some teams have registered in advance, team captain Kathy Grogan-Bleckler said registration has been extended to Saturday before play begins. To find out more, call the Terre Du Lac Pro Shop at 573-562-7091.

New Beginnings is a grief and loss support group that is one of more than 50 teams participating in the Relay For Life of St. Francois County, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The Relay will be July 25-26 at Mineral Area College.
