Debbie Pettus

DESLOGE — Deborah (Debbie) Pettus, 56, of Desloge passed away May 8, 2008 at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis. She was born October 9, 1951 in Bonne Terre.

Debbie was a loving and caring wife and mother. Though she lost her brave fight with cancer, Debbie loved the Lord and is now living with Jesus in Heaven. Handicapped with a stroke that ended her 20 year career in nursing, Debbie endured these hardships with grace. She was a member of the New Life Church in Bloomingdale Ill., and locally attended the Harvest Christian Center.

Preceded in death by: Mother – Mary Compton, infant daughter, grandparents, Cecil and Margaret Flanery, Everette and Belle Jenkins, Bert and Levia Compton.

Survived by: Her husband of 37 years, Bob Pettus of Desloge, sons, Matthew Pettus of Kentucky, Drew Pettus of Illinois, father, Bob Compton of Desloge, sisters, Patti (Mrs. Terry McIntyre of Desloge, Janice (Mrs. David Lavarra) of Arnold.

Visitation Monday at May 12, 2008 at 12 noon at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m., at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel with Rev. Dwight Jones and Pastor Don Railey officiating. Interment will be at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Diabetes Association.
