Hustle and Bulldogs gain Bantam wins

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Hustle gave the Farmington Outlaws their first loss and pulled even with them at 2-2 in Bantam League play. The Hustle scored five runs in the fourth inning to take the lead and a fifth-inning rally by the Outlaws fell short.

Alex Greco hit a home run to lead off the first inning, and  Benny Sitze double in the fourth started their final scoring run. Gavin Duncan and Blake Vandever both had one single.

Brandon Winder had two hits for the Outlaws, and Brayden Moon and Larry Landers had one hit each.

Sitze struck out 13 batters for the win, and Landers struck out 10 batters in taking the loss.

Bulldogs 9, Raiders 5

FRANKCLAY — The Leadwood Bulldogs improved their win record by one with a 9-5 win over the Desloge Raiders via an eight strike-out performance by Parker Forshee. Jacob Meinershagen finished off the last inning on the mound.

Jared Barnett hit a triple and Meinershagen hit a single for the Bulldogs. Riley Smith, Eli Claywell and Trey Robinson hit two singles each.
