James Lowell Hickman
James Lowell Hickman, 83, of Marquand, Missouri died May 10, 2008 at ClaRu DeVille Nursing Center in Fredericktown, Missouri.
He was born Nov. 5, 1924 at Williamsburg Missouri, a son of James Bradley and Lucy Ann Qualls.
He and Mary Ruth Sterner were married August 15, 1943.
Mr. Hickman was preceded in death by four brothers, an infant sister; a son; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Hickman of Marquand; one son, Edward Hickman of Williamsburg, Missouri; two daughters, Carol Schabbing of Jackson, Missouri and Ruth Hickman-Duffel of Marquand.
He had eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hickman was a farmer in the Williamsburg, Kingdom City and Readsville, Missouri area for most of his life.
He was a sales representative for Amour Fertilizer Company in the 1960’s, in 1996 he retired from the State of Missouri.
Services were held May 14, 2008 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery at Calwood, Missouri.
