Raymond Rayford Brooks
FRENCH VILLAGE— Raymond Rayford Brooks, 76, of French Village passed away June 8, 2008 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on November 14, 1931 in Mine La Motte.
He was employed by Petrov Brothers Tree Service and Landscaping for 35 years, member of the Presbyterian Church and served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by: Parents, Earl and May (Gray) Brooks, son Zane Ray Brooks, and Grandson Gregory James Ballard.
He is survived by: Wife of 53 years, Margaret (Duncan) Brooks of French Village, five daughters, Myra Ruth (Mrs. Otis Nickles) of St. Louis, Verna Jane Brooks of French Village, Verna Lou (Mrs. Glennon Govero) of Valles Mines, Nicki Rae (Mrs. Brian Kelley) of Overland, and Michelle Elizabeth Brooks of St. Louis, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three brothers, Harvey Brooks and wife Mildred of Greenville, Otis Brooks and wife Bessie of Farmington, and Vernon Brooks of Greenville, three sisters, Fern Schilli of South Carolina, Faye (Mrs. Ronald Hoyer) of Washington, and Madonna Hansen of Ohio.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 11, 2008 at 12 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services will be Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel with the Rev. Greg McCord. Interment will be at Christian Church Cemetery in Fredericktown.
