Carl Otto ‘œPutt’e Lamb

Carl Otto Lamb, 83, of Fredericktown died July 4, 2008 at Madison Medical Center.

He was born July 25, 1924 at Fredericktown, a son of Charles Henry Stanley Lamb and Ricka Albertina (Ottander) Lamb.

On October 10, 1945 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Marie Means at Fredericktown.

Mr. Lamb was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Lamb and Alfred Lamb; and two sisters, Irene Weatherford and Hilda Moyers.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Marie Lamb of Fredericktown; two sons, Charles Ray Lamb and Richard Carl Lamb; one daughter, Rita Ann Yount; and one sister, Lillian Ward all of Fredericktown; and a host of family, friends and neighbors.

He had five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Mr. Lamb was a member of Bethel United Baptist Church.

Mr. Lamb was a longtime area farmer raising cattle, registered quarter horses, registered coon dogs and his most prized possessions-his grandchildren.

Services were held July 8, 2008 at Follis and Sons Chapel with Elder Robert Graham officiating. Burial was at Sebastian Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Lloyd Lamb, Stanley Lamb, Craig Moyers, Jim Eck, Odie Means and Jim Pinkley. Honorary pallbearers were: Ann Robins, Charlene, Lynn, Travis and Carrie Lamb.
