Two end up in hospital after accident on US 67

A two-vehicle accident Thursday evening on US 67 in St. Francois County resulted in two people going to the hospital.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Larry Miles, 56, Columbia, attempted to cross the southbound lanes of US 67. The front of the vehicle struck the driver’s side rear of a vehicle driven by Nicholas Basinger, 16, Bonne Terre. Basinger’s vehicle then went off into the median.

Basinger suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center by St. Francois County Ambulance. Jonathan Woods, 17, Bonne Terre, also sustained minor injuries and was taken to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center by St. Francois County Ambulance.
