Evelyn S. Jenkins
DESLOGE — Evelyn S. Jenkins, 78, of Desloge passed away July 18, 2008, at her residence. She was born December 2, 1929, at Bonne Terre.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; a Charter Member of St. Vincent dePaul; and a Member of Bonne Terre VFW Auxiliary 6883.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Richard Benjamin and Stella Emily (Thomure) Wallace; husband, Marcus Jenkins; sisters, Helen Crump and Marcella Wallace; brother, Larry Wallace; step-son, James S. Jenkins Sr.
She is survived by: Children, Mary Sandra Williamson and husband Scott of Houston, Texas, Robert W. DeGrant of Park Hills, LaDonna Nelson and husband Don “Duck” of Park Hills and Mark Jenkins and wife Carolyn of Farmington; grandchildren, Michelle Hughes and husband Gene, Brian Winch and wife Lacy, Tracy Heberlie and husband Jeff, David Nelson and wife Michelle, Cheryl Burtle and husband Ron, Christal Hardy and husband Luke, Marcus Jenkins, Tammy Morgan and husband Blaine, and Jim Jenkins and wife Kim; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren brothers, Bill Wallace of Utah, David Wallace of Illinois, Jerry Wallace of Illinois, Danny Wallace of Illinois, and Benny Wallace of Illinois; sister, Anita Wallace; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., Monday, July 21, 2008, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Immaculate Conception Church with Father James French officiating. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Vincent dePaul Food pantry and/or the American Cancer Society.
