Hazel Earlene Poteet

Hazel  Earlene  Poteet, 87 died July 16, 2008 at her daughters home in Desloge.  

She was born March 6, 1921 in Houlka, Mississippi, one of seven children born to Kelly and Grace  (Haley) Sansing.

In June 1964 in Oklahoma City she was married to Walter Poteet, who survives in Farmington.

Mrs. Poteet is survived by one son, Wayne Morphis of Fredericktown; one daughter, Glenda Brock of Desloge; five sisters, Ruby Smith, Edna Peden, Ann Sansing, all of Tennessee, June Sansing of Oregon and Nell Sansing of Mississippi and two grandchildren

Mrs. Poteet was preceded in death by one  brother, Faye Sansing.

Mrs. Poteet retired from the Little Giant Pump Manufacturing Company in Oklahoma City where she worked in the gasket installation department.  

She enjoyed painting, collecting antique china dolls and flower gardening and was of the Baptist faith.

Services were held July 20, 2008 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

Burial was on July 21, 2008 at  Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
