Driver suffers medical condition before accident
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an accident involving a 2007 Dodge. According to the report, Patrick J. Vampran, 62, of Fredericktown suffered a medical condition while driving eastbound on Highway 72, two miles west of Fredericktown on August 9, 2008 about 6:35 P.M..
According to the report the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and struck several trees and came to rest down an embankment.
Vampran was pronounced dead at the scene by Madison County Coroner Chris Follis according to the report. Vampran was transported back to the coroner’s office. His vehicle was considered a total loss and removed by D and D Wrecker Service of Fredericktown.
